I remember having a new born baby and desperately not wanting to go back to a 9-5 job. My husband and I took a long hard look at our finances and figured out how to make it work that I could be a stay at home mom.
The first few months were pure bliss! Then this feeling started to kick in again.. I was meant to be more than just a mama.
I kept ignoring my calling to start my business and I actually spent countless nights praying to God to take the desire off my heart if it wasn’t part of His plan. I felt so guilty that being a stay at home mom wasn’t enough for me but I couldn’t ignore the tug on my heart anymore.
My background is in interior design so I actually started my own design firm and did some edesign projects online. While I loved being able to create again, I still felt like I needed to help other women start their own business. This made no sense to me since I myself hadn’t owned a business for long.
Then came the answer to my prayers, people started asking me how to become an interior designer too. I started coaching people 1-on-1 and I also created a 12 week course teaching how to become an interior designer without a degree (if you’re interested, you can learn more about it here)!
Immediately I saw the power of passive products. Instead of working with clients one-on-one, my digital products were able to reach thousands and I only had to do the work once.
Now that I’ve discovered how passive products can allow you to do less but make more, I am passionate about helping other women do the same. Many of my students are making money through passive programs like online courses, ebooks, accountability groups, and digital downloads.
Busy is not a badge of honor.
It’s possible to have a strong marriage, raise happy kids, travel the world, get 8+ hours of sleep a night, and have a thriving successful business.
In a world where 50+ hours a week is the new norm for entrepreneurs, I knew that wasn’t the life I wanted. From the beginning of my business I have been very intentional about setting up a good work-life balance that puts my family before my business. These are the same guidelines I teach my students.
I’ve learned how to do less but make more $$$.
Why trade hours for dollars when you can literally do the work once, make it into a passive digital product, and sell it over-and-over again? My passive income method has allowed my students to create a full time income while only working a few hours a week.

Everyone is an expert in some way, whether you realize it or not. Here are a few passive products my students have created: 30 day meal plan, homeschooling curriculum, a beginners course to calligraphy, sewing patterns, Instagram templates, ebook on essential oils.
You may be thinking “well they can just google that or watch a youtube video” but the truth is, people are willing to pay for the shortcut. They don’t want to sift through hours of content or do the trial-and-error method. People want to pay you to solve their pain point.

I truly believe you have to invest in yourself if you want to start seeing results. It’s important you start your business with intention and treat it as an actual business, not a hobby. If you want others to invest in you, you must invest in yourself first. I have invested thousands of dollars into coaching and business courses to get me to this point and it was worth every penny. My only regret is not starting sooner – and that’s not what I want for you!
I am so grateful for the opportunities this business has allowed me – I get to stay home with my daughter, take my family on vacations, and my work “uniform” is stretchy pants and a messy bun!

- We make an annual trip to Charleston, SC – so much history and charm
- I married my high school sweetheart (we’ve been together 13 years!)
- We have a “voluptuous” bulldog named Rosie
- A perfect Saturday would be spent antiquing (we actually made a special trip to Arezzo, Italy to visit the antique market the whole town puts on)
- Every time I hear an ambulance I say a little prayer for whoever is inside
- I started getting gray hairs when I was 18 (I’m sure it’s because I’m wise beyond my years)
- I took 6.5 years of French and can barely form a sentence anymore
- I have to have close captioning on when watching a movie
